Flowers and Butterflies (almost)!

It's spring time - and all our flowers are blooming - but that's not all! We have Monarch caterpillars!! So as long as we can keep the milkweed from dying (we moved it to a new location last weekend) we'll have Monarch Butterflies all summer!

Mother of all Boards

After a lot of blood, sweat and tears, including a heartbreaking 'zap' sound from the motherboard, I managed to rebuild the ailing IBM to all of its former glory using parts scavenged on eBay. Now we've even got a few working parts to sell assuming anybody will do business with somebody with a (0) after their name. There seems to be a thriving market for even the tiniest parts from this model...

Enchanted Rock trip

We had an awesome time at Enchanted Rock this last weekend... brought out some friends and we all managed to have a great time and not get Eaten by bears :)

Gardening in the front yard

We finally did it- tore out the old ugly plants and created a themed (white and purple) garden in the front... I know - you never imagined Christina and Paul to be so green thumbed... okay - lets call it yellow thumbed for now (definitly an improvement over previous black thumb status).

Also enjoying our new umbrella and chair cushions in the loverly Houston weather...

And our willow tree is budding and starting to privide a nice view in our corner backyard garden!
