6 months old
We are just so excited for Wyatt's 6 month old milestone! This last month was filled with new things and Wyatt is really a man of action now. He started this month by getting up into the crawl position, then learning to sit up on his own, then scooting a bit and at the very end of the month he began to crawl and pull up! It has been so amazing and full of fun. The more Wyatt moves the happier he seems to be.
Wyatt's favorite toy still seems to be a plastic cup! Although now he also likes to play with his laundry basket (since he can crawl over to it). He also is doing more and more with his blocks. His favorite book is "I am a bunny" which we have to thank his Aunt Maria for (even though I didn't think I'd like it). Although he loves reading all his books and it's a favorite thing for him to do.
Wyatt also still likes to be carried around in the Baby Bjorn - which we've incorporated into our weekends now. We have started taking Wyatt to the Farmer's Market on Saturdays and he seems to like being outside and walking around with us. He also loves his stroller, and has graduated into sitting in it without the car seat. He seems to like both our nature walks and jogs in it!
Wyatt has also become more talkative. He is often "blowing raspberries" or making the plhb sound with his lips and he just started saying "Deh." It's been super fun to hear him babble... and he also laughs at us when we repeat his sounds.
Exploring the world with this little guy is so neat!

5 Months Old!
Wyatt is 5 months old and weighs over 19 lbs!
This last month has been more and more fun with Wyatt. He now giggles and smiles a ton! And what has helped with that is a new sleep schedule -it was rough at first, but after a couple days he caught on and started sleeping like a champ. He still likes his white noise and being "rocked to sleep" on his bouncy ball - but no more three hour long dance parties lasting until 11 pm. Wyatt now usually goes to bed at 7pm after a 30 minute bedtime routine including his stories and singing. It is now a really sweet part of his day!
Wyatt has also begun needing to put EVERYTHING in his mouth! From whatever Mom and Dad have in their hands (including glasses) to all his toys and books. It has made reading a challenge, but he eventually got over the fact that we won't let him put them in his mouth and has instead started to turn the pages for us when we read. It is awesome to see Wyatt so interactive.
Unfortunately - Wyatt did catch his first cold - a nasty cough that lasted for two weeks. We had suck out the snot of his nose twice a day which was not fun (especially since it was during a family vacation). But, it was good Paul and I had off to take care of him ourselves. The funny thing was that he kept gaining weight even through the illness. And it didn't ruin his mood either - he stayed happy - smiling often for us and giggling at his 5 year old Aunt Lucia!

4 months old!
Wyatt turned 4 months old on March 18th! And he is officially a big boy: weighing in at 17 lbs 10 oz!
Wyatt just becomes more and more fun each month! This month was his first month with his nanny, our good friend Maureen. She comes to the house to watch him while Paul and I are at work. Wyatt absolutely adores her - and they have fun playing all day (and she has a handful trying to get him to nap half the day).
Wyatt, besides rolling, is also doing well sitting upright in his bumbo and now his high chair. And when he sits, he becomes very interested in playing with toys. He works on grabbing them for the main purpose of trying to get them in his mouth to chew on! We joke that he only like something as far as he can put it in his mouth! It's pretty funny to watch :)
With the weather getting nicer we try to talk more walks in the stroller with Wyatt - which is helping him get better with being in his car seat. He loves to look up and see the leaves of trees against the sky and feel the wind blowing by.
We also went on his first trip on a plane and did really well! He was able to feed on the way up and down and sleep most of the trip! We got around really will with him in the carrier too!

3 Months Old!
Wyatt's a little older now, but we wanted to post on his 3 month accomplishments and personalities!
Wyatt turned three months old on Feb 18th and just started to be a really happy little baby this last month (of course just when Momma had to go back to work). He is much less fussy during the day, smiling more often, and started to have a giggle or too when mom and dad make funny faces.
The big item this month has been wearing him in a baby carrier! Wyatt loves facing out in the baby bjorn or a sling. And while in the carrier he has to be moving. So often times we will be dancing to music with him. For chores - they take a little longer and we will pick up one item, walk around the house, and then put it away. It takes awhile, but things get done eventually.
The last three weeks, Paul stayed home and was Mr. Mom with Wyatt while Christina went back to work. He did great! Wyatt took to the bottle right away and Paul had no problems. Paul really enjoyed spending time with little man! They would read board books together and go out for walks.
We also were steadily working on tummy time, even though Wyatt seemed to protest. Until just a week before he turned three months, Wyatt decided to roll over from his back to his tummy on his own! For some reason, when he turns onto his tummy himself he then enjoys being on his tummy... and now we have a half-roller!
And we have to mention what a great Green Bay Packer Fan he was!! We were able to have some friends over this month to watch all the play off games and eventually we got to see the Packers win the Superbowl! He did awesome through the games in his green bay outfits- and it was a great introduction to football :)
Of course - the most exciting thing for us this month was going camping just a day after he turned 3 months! Kristin and Ed came down to TX, and we drove out to go on his first backpacking trip. The car rides were rough (he still hates being in the car), but he did great on the actual trip! He just loved being carried around in the bjorn. He was a little scared in the dark at night with all the headlamps, but when momma and papa read him his books, and we turned on some white noise, he become more comfortable and easily went to bed! The best part was how interested he was in the trees! It was so great to get him out!

2 months old!
Wyatt is two months old today! This month has been fantastic - with lots of visiting family for the holidays and each day Wyatt becoming more alert and happy! He now is very active whenever he is awake - and always needing something! He lets us know immediately when he wants something different.
The best are his smiles - which started this month and are now frequent and with purpose! He smiles when we sing to him or make funny faces - most often when we talk. He also coos back to us or sometimes even to get our attention.
Wyatt officially weighed in at 14 lbs 7 oz today - so I'm calling him my big hunk! He's grown out of most of his 3 month clothes now.
He still dislikes the car :( and is unhappy 90% of the time when we put him in the car seat... but he usually likes walks in his stroller or his carrier. It took some time - but now he prefers to spend most of the day in the baby bjorn facing out! Paul and I will put on music and dance or clean up around the house - but we have to stay in motion! He also still loves mirrors and his changing table on the bathroom counter! He smiles more there than anywhere else!
Wyatt will only cuddle in motion - no laying around! So we cuddle on the exercise ball while bouncing - he often gets put to bed that way too. And if nothing else works he is always calmed by the sound of the vacuum cleaner.
