Amelia!
We had such wonderful memories from Wyatt's first months on this blog and realized we need to share some from Amelia too! Here are our favorite moments from Amelia!
Amelia at 1 month old (Oct):
What a sweet little girl Amelia is! When she got home from the hospital we called her our little mouse because she made little squeaks… but then she also made some rhinoceros snorts! Her little noises are wonderful. Amelia didn't usually cry too loud – but even so – Wyatt when he hears her comes up and wags his finger “Yel-yia, No!” It was so sweet to hold her. She was much smaller than Wyatt, so seemed extra tiny to us!
Amelia at 2 months old (Nov):
Amelia had a lot of traveling this month – to Wisconsin! She did a great job overall… but 2 months is a hard age to be for all babies. No one knows exactly what they need and their sleep schedule is all off. This month, Amelia got a lot louder :) Often, I'd need to walk her around the block to calm down and fall asleep. Wyatt loved going on night walks in the dark. But Amelia did have her first real smile this month! And still was very sweet!
Amelia at 3 months old (Dec):
Amelia has turned into a very happy and calm baby! After getting through some of the tougher months – she is turning out to be very chill and often going with whatever the flow of the family is. She also really loves her giraffe pacifier and it is helping her transition to daycare. The only thing that school has noticed about Amelia is that she doesn't sleep in her crib or like it at all! That is definitely true – she is sleeping only in Moma’s arms! It was a wonderful first Christmas with Amelia and Wyatt. They both loved looking at Christmas lights! She smiles all the time which is so much fun!
Amelia at 4 months old (Jan):
This month has been great for Amelia and the family because she is going to be at a regular time – 7pm! And although it took some time, she went from sleeping only in Moma’s arms to sleeping in her crib or swing! At the beginning of this month, Amelia started rolling around, back to front and front to back – although she likes being on her tummy most of the time and trying to grab toys. This month she really likes to put anything she can grab in her mouth. Just like Wyatt, this includes trying to grab Momma’s cup and pretend to drink from it!
Amelia at 5 Months old (Feb):
Amelia is such a happy baby! She smiles almost whenever you look at her! And she is very ticklish! She breaks out in giggles if Momma kisses her belly or if Papa kisses her neck. Amelia loves her brother Wyatt the most and will bounce up and down with joy if he looks at her (which usually he doesn’t). She is definitely in the phase where she wants to put everything in her mouth… including her feet this month! If we put Amelia in her car seat she is always playing with her feet!
Wyatt is interacting with Amelia more and more. Now that she is playing with toys, Wyatt usually wants what Moma gives her, and sometimes tries to take it. Amelia is very calm, and instead of crying, she just looks at Wyatt and smiles. But Wyatt is learning to share, and give Amelia a toy to play with! He is also very sweet and always says “Hi, Amelia.” On Valentine’s day, I went to pick up Wyatt early to spends some time with just him, but he insisted Amelia come to!
