Wyatt's First Month

Wyatt's first month has been quite a roller coaster ride! It's so exciting to have a new little baby in our lives and just incredible that he came from us!

He's been growing so well and has just reached 12 pounds! He's also become so alert and looks right into his Moma's and Papa's eyes now... and he also flashes us some quick smiles!

The sounds he makes are fun too - from grunts and skweaks to now a couple of "ahs" where we hear his voice.

He definitely has his own little personality as well - he's a very loud and stubborn boy! Just like his parents... I wouldn't ever describe him as calm and relaxed! He wants to be held and bounced around all the time!

20 Weeks - half way there!

We are so excited to be at the half way point and I'm feeling good enough to start preparing the house for our baby boy! Paul started by changing out the kitchen sink garbage disposal system (picture below). Then we put a new shelf in the laundry room to clear out some pantry space. We also decided to change out the lights in the master bathroom that neither of us liked ;) And are now in processes of taking down the 80's style wall paper in the kid's bathroom upstairs. Hopefully all our projects will get done in time!

19 Weeks!

This week we used some father's day coupons to get some great deals on maternity wear - including one of my new favorites! I love wearing dresses (especially as the summer heat is coming on).

Week 15 & STS 132 Launch!

Paul and I decided to try to see the STS-132 launch as it would be the last chance for us to see one! We got really lucky and found great spots to sit and then had perfect weather. We ended up having an awesome picnic with Paul's family.

Here is our set up:

14 Weeks & Disney

We had a great time at Disney with Paul's Family! Lucia is now 4 and a half and such a smart & sweet girl. Disney was a bit overwhelming at first - but we took it slow and had a great time!

Pies are nice, but babies are much more exciting...

A family friend, when talking about our blog told us "Pies are nice, but babies are much more exciting." We agree! And we're happy to announce a new addition to the Gosling family coming this November.

Pies

It's been awhile since the last posting! We've been busy - Paul has done a lot of traveling with work to the East Coast... and I've been packing all his bags getting him ready :)

Other than that - since our friend Kristin has gotten excited about baking pies - I have too! We bought an awesome book: Homestyle Pies and Tarts, which has given us a ton of new recipes.

Here's my first Rhubarb pie - with strawberries and apples! It's Farmhouse style where the crust doesn't over lap completely (which is another way of just being lazy about presentation - but doesn't it still look tasty?).

This next one is a Moroccan Beef Pie - made with prunes. It's a savory pie, perfect for dinner.

Here is a Spicy Sweet Potato Quiche... wonderful!

And tonight I made Paul a cherry pie - which is his favorite :)
