Dinner in a forest

Tonight we had dinner in a great restaurant that was nature themed! The table we sat at had fake tree trunks running through it and there was a forest painted on the walls. Then they projected images of birds behind us... penguins, cranes, owls... nobody wanted the duck because we were watching baby ducks hatch! The funniest was when their band/kinda jazz singer was playing but the chirping noises continued in the background.
This was my tomato and mozzarella appetizer - very yummy. Everything was presented very fashionably as well - a pretty trendy place considering the trees :)
Moscow is a funny city when it comes to food. We can get lunch at the cafeteria at work for $3 but whenever we go out to eat it's usually always at least $30 per person (that's probably why the compensation money is so good). I think it has a lot to do with the beverages. The 7-Up I had cost 60 rubels (or $2.30), a small bottle of water, and I mean small, is 90 rubels ($2.50), then wine about 220 rubels ($8.50) and 350 rubels for a mixed drink ($14). So considering you don't get free refills ever, drinks can add up quickly, plus the size of the meal is reasonable (not Texas style) so one usally gets an appetizer as well.
Over all though, very good food, very good atmosphere, and very good company!
