On the first weekend of June, Paul and I headed to Fort Worth for an Opera Festival. This is the first year Fort Worth is putting on a festival and we approve!! It's great to be able to take a weekend and see three operas (although we only saw too). We saw "Frau
Margrot" which was it's world premier showing. Hated it. And we saw Falstaff - a Verdi classic and delightful in every way! The picture above is the Opera house in Fort Worth - which was built to rival the best Opera Houses in Europe
acoustically - and our cheap tickets verify there were no bad tickets in the theatre. As you can see it is
absolutely gorgeous!

We stayed at a hotel downtown - within walking distance of all the restaurants, bars and our Operas! With the $70 Government discount it was affordable too! It was perfect to be so close to the action and really made the trip more enjoyable.

This last picture is us
causing trouble at the bars in Fort Worth with my sorority
lil sis!
